Your governor

I wish to publicly condemn the recent inhumane and vicious attacks on our Kenyan sisters, daughters and mothers in these recent weeks. I am also deeply saddened to hear that one of the victims has today succumbed to her injuries and passed on at a hospital in Nairobi (her attackers stoned her).
There can be no justification for such acts. As a leader, a father and a man, I urge my fellow men within our County and the country at large to be the protectors of our sisters and not their attackers.
Our County is also facing similar challenges with numerous cases of sexual assault against women and children being reported. Our County government in conjunction with the Central government security arms is committed to protecting the rights and lives of all within the County and eradicating any forms of abuse against the vulnerable in our society, children, women, the disabled, our elderly etc.

Let us all do our part in protecting the vulnerable people within our society. Let us focus on tackling our pressing issues such as hunger, education, development and disease and not turn against each other. And lastly let us respect our women.
Your governor
